The protracted dry, hot and humid weather has created the perfect conditions for several turfgrass diseases to flourish. We normally see some dollar spot, brown patch, summer patch and gray leaf spot this time of year. But this year the most destructive we are seeing on residential lawns and some athletic fields is Pythium blight which can kill entire lawns. Some lawns will see the grass recover but many are going to need help through aeration and seeding this fall. There is a difference between what can be accomplished with overseeding (broadcast seeding) and slice seeding. There is also a difference in services offered by other companies. TBLL’s aeration and slice seeding is done with TWO passes in different directions because it IMPROVES the results.
